A small mysterious island somewhere in the vicinity of Sumatra was first given the enigmatic name Skull Island in the original RKO promotions for the 1933 film King Kong. This “Skull Island” follows in those huge, furry footsteps and aims to provide a backdrop and setting with simple rule mechanics for miniature skirmish games that borrow a page or two from The Big Ape screenplays and adventures of the past century.

Africa Screams
A still from the Abbott and Costello entry into the giant ape genre, Africa Screams. The film is one of my personal favorites and features adventurer Frank Buck and animal tamer Clyde Beatty as themselves.
